The Kasa KC100 has been discontinued as mentionned on the TP Link website.
Unfortunately on the Tapo C100 and C200 there is no such trigger given in the specs and a test turned out that it doesn't trigger on sounds.
What are the alternatives or solutions to get a sound detection trigger? Is it up to Tapo's software?

Great product but it really needs sound detection trigger & notification.
Can you tell if this is planned for later updates? or if it is not on the roadmap for the product at all?

@Brook has the sound detection function been added to the C200 yet?
I've just purchased a C200 camera as the website description said it featured sound detection.
We intend to use the camera as a baby monitor and without sound detection it's useless so we'll be returning it to Argos.

Hello everyone,
With the release of Tapo Care ( paid Cloud service for Tapo camera * released in certain areas) you could now enjoy Baby-Crying detection with Tapo Care subscription, now camera could detect Baby-crying sound and send an alert / notification to the phone, at the same time triggers a cloud video clip so you could view the video when camera detects baby crying.
