@Solla-topee

So your brilliant development team have plenty of time to get a logo that is of NO USE to anyone and is unwanted, but they can't make android wake up to send a notification of motion detection.....on a supposed security camera!

Honestly, you are all a joke.  I can't wait for the TP Link networking products in my organisation to play up. I'd glady put a hammer through the lot of it and would rather have Chinese spyware equipment instead.  At least there would be some after sales support.

Just got this from tplink support:

"Actually, we are going to remove the watermark in the next firmware."

hope they follow through on this promise.

Hi, @Solla-topee

@Barbunche

Hello everyone,

Thank you for taking the time to give your feedback regarding the watermark on Tapo camera. We have received your suggestions as well as some concerns about it. Your feedback has been forwarded to our product department for further evaluation, from the latest news this part may get optimized.

The detailed plan and its feasibility is still under discussion, we will keep you updated via this thread if there is anything new about this feature.

Thank you again for your kind feedback.

Thank you for your reply. Your post is marked as solution, but it really does not solve the issue.

However, I really appreciate your feedback and it is good to know that our concerns have been forwarded to the product department.

I (as well as all the users in this thread) look forward to receiving further news about this problem and hopefully see the watermark gone for good in the following update.

Best.

@Solla-topee Hi again,

It's been more than one week. No response yet?

Honestly, I find it difficult to understand why does it take so much time/effort to just push a minor update where the text layer of the watermark added in the previous update is removed.

Thank you.

Since the watermark is not a blocking issue, maybe they are collecting some features or bugfixes to include in the next firmware. For example I know that there is an issue with the motion detection in some C200 cameras that they promise to fix in the next firmware update. So like this one maybe there are other identified bugs to fix in the same version. Now lets hope they've defined a deadline for that update.
