Seems like they have just released firmware version 1.1.8 for Tapo C200. Can anyone confirm whether or not the watermark issue is fixed now?

@Molodos

I can also confirm that the watermark branding is still there after installing 1.1.8.

And there is no option for remove it either.

EDIT: After updating the APP (on Android) there is finally an option for remove the watermark.

@Martin-Wu @KalleKat

Thats unfortunate, I really was looking forward to finally being able to upgrade without getting the wartermark (I was lucky enough to not upgrade the watermark version). Anyways thank you for the fast confirmation 😀

Lets hope, that they will fix the watermark soon

Re:Watermark on C200 after firmware update-Solution

It appears to be fixed now as there's a new option to remove it after the firmware (1.1.8 for C200) and app update (2.3.33), at least on my android device.

Firmware 1.1.8:

New option "Display Logo" in the "On-screen Display Settings":

It was active, after turning it off the watermark was removed from the App and the RTSP stream.

(I did force close the app and clear the cache a few minutes ago, so it may have been the trigger for the setting to appear.)

@sp33dyy00

on iOS i can't even set the display text anymore.

so it's pretty weird.
