Model: Tapo C100  
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.1.15

Started receiving problem within 2 months. The infrared lights are getting switched on automatically sometimes even when there is ambient light and not getting switched off and at that time cannot access camera through tapo app

 

After restarting camera its getting resolved. The frequency of this problem is increasing day by day. Tried reset but not resolved

 

Is it a hardware issue?

Hello   @Das. 

It seems that the  System Led turns red on tapo camera, that means camera wifi connection drops

  • Confirm tapo camera gets good signal strength from router, what is the RSSI on the camera? 

How to check the network connection stability of a Tapo Camera

Move camera closer to router and see if camera goes offline or not

 

  • Make sure camera is connected to router directly, not through other AP or Range extenders
  • Make sure tapo firmware in tapo app and tapo APP version are both up to date 
  • Check if there is any Advanced settings on router like access control/ parental control/ Mac Filtering settings may affect the camera

 

Can I know what is the model of Wi-Fi router? Does camera connect to router directly or through extender?
