Rich notificacions with snapshots (camera): Free for everyone
I reckon this option of the cameras, currently only available in Tapo Care, should become free for all users, as it looks after the safety of all users and the quick action we can take, depending on if the cameras have spotted someone trying to enter our home. Sometimes every second matters.
Thanks

This has been identified as a NEED, you are going to lose customers to others brands without this. And if I have to pay for cloud storage to have this then no point in having the hub.

@Calahyra not going to that is already began. I have sold all tplink cams I have. It was almost a year for this topic and there was no response from company even a message like we hear yoı and we are working on it. So I have got rid of all cams.

Just bought and fitted the D235, only to discover this.
Any comment from tp-link? Can anyone recommend an alternative to the d235 without forced subscriptions?

If you have a tapo hub e.g. H500, and so have no need for the cloud subscription, is it still impossible to get the rich notifications?

I'm also surprised and disppointed at learning that "rich notifications" require a subscription. I just bought into the tapo ecosystem but still haven't cancelled my nest subscription, maybe I will reconsider :(

@Rajid I agree, this is very irritating. I bought 6 outdoor and 2 indoor cameras and a D235 doorbell, along with the H500 hub and spent close to $500 extra dollars on a very large SSD to record and store the recordings, only to find that the products won't do what they claim to do without a paid subscription. I didn't see that advertised anywhere in my research of the products, indeed many advertisements prominently push the fact 'no subscription required'... I obviously didn't see the fine print that says '..unless you want the things to work'... This is not very user friendly... I might as well have just bought basic cameras from any manufacturer and paid the subscription.
