Hi

Is there another way to use a H100 doorbell than with a Smart Switch?

The Smart Switch is so easy to steal or just remove.

I would like to have a "button" that can be fastened securely.

More like a plain doorbell push button.

Hi,
If you have a Tapo doorbell camera and want the Tapo H100 to ring when someone presses the doorbell camera, you can use the Smart Action>Automation feature on the Tapo app to achieve this usage scenario.
How to create Smart Action (automation or a shortcut) of my Tapo devices?
Trigger: Doorbell Pressed
Action: Ring the H100

If you have other usage scenarios want to achieve with the Tapo H100, please describe the usage scenario in detail, and let me know the Tapo devices you have.

Best Regards

Hi,

I don´t have a Tapo doorbell camera.

I have a H100 hub, a few cameras and S200B and S200D smart buttons.

So I really don´t need a doorbell camera.

My concern is how to get/use the H100 doorbell option.

I have now the S200D button outside my door for that.

But as I wrote earlier, that is so easy to steal or remove.

Another thing.

It works only in 0-40 C temperatures.

I live in Finland and we have temperatures up to -30 C.

So what I am really asking, is there or is the going to be a button that works as a doorbell button and works in under 0 C temperatures?

Hi,
The Tapo S200B and S200D are indoor products, and we recommend using them indoors. Currently, there is no smart button designed as a doorbell button, and we have no information about whether or when such a product will be available.

However, I'll record your request and forward it to the related team to evaluate. You can also pay attention to our official website, and we will upload the product information to our official website if there is a new one.
Best Regards

Hi,

The doorbell option in H100 hub is quite useless without a doorbell button that works outdoors.

I think everyone living in colder countries like Finland would appreciate having a button for this.

Why not just make a similar button than in Tapo D230S1.

Just without a camera.

I would buy one immediately and I think many others too.

Hi,
I don't think the alarm feature on the Hub H100 is useless without a doorbell button since the hub can also work with other smart devices, such as the Tapo T100 motion sensor, and we can configure the hub alarms when T100 detects motion if needed.
Thank you for your support of our product, and I'll forward your feedback to the related team to evaluate.
Best Regards
