Poor Audio Quality C225 C500

I recently bought Tapo C225 and C500 cameras. The audio quality of both cameras is poor, so I can't hear conversations clearly. They are much worse than my old TP-link cameras. I notice that the background noise level of the old cameras is high, but I can hear the conversations clearly. I think the issue of the new cameras is caused by the noise cancellation. But I can't find a way to disable the noise cancellation feature.
I read from another post that other users of C220 solved this issue with another firmware:

I would like to know where I can find the firmware to disable noise cancellation for C225 and C500. Thanks a lot!

Hi,
Usually, you can update the camera's firmware over the internet. If failed, we suggest updating the firmware when you are on the same network as the camera.
You can also try to reboot the router, reboot the camera, and then update the firmware after the camera is working.

Has anyone had success as to why the sound quality on the Tappo/TP link cameras is so poor and if there are changes in the pipeline?
- The user interface is fantastic, easy to setup and use.
- Video quality excellent for this camera price point
- Customer service is good also.....
but the sound/audio quality is awful. I used to use the Samsung cameras until they stop supporting them so we looked for alternatives, the sound/video quality was excellent.
I purchased a couple of the Tappo C220 cameras but returned them as the audio quality was awful.
I gave things a second chance an purchased a couple of C460 this week, thought as they were new products the audio may have been fixed, they are still awful.
I'm hoping the senior management pick up on these threads highlighting the poor audio quality as there are a lot of complaints around this.
Is it noise filtering, surely thois can be addressed by a firmware update, but it hasn't
Is it a hardware issue, lesser quality microphone, etc. Doesn't seem to have been addressed in the newr latest cameras.
I run a business and if I had this many complaints I would seriously investigate the issue as it would be damaging to the business reputation.
Can the Tappo team feedback as to the problem, what it is and if there is a fix in the pipeline and we can expect the fix.
Here's hoping!!

Hi,
The audio quality of the Tapo Camera is influenced not only by the camera itself but also by the surrounding environment. If the sound from your camera is muffled, you can refer to the following troubleshooting suggestions.
1. Make sure that there are no obstructions covering the microphone and speaker openings on the camera.
2. Confirm that the microphone and speaker volume of the camera are set at a high level on our app.
3. Ensure the camera is positioned to allow clear and unobstructed sound reception. Avoid placing it in enclosed spaces or near surfaces that may reflect sound.
4. Test the audio with your mobile device positioned away from the camera, preferably in a different room. The proximity between the phone and camera during a voice call can cause audio feedback.
If there is no change in the audio quality, please provide the following information for further analysis and troubleshooting:
1. Send me (@Solla-topee) your camera's MAC address via a private message.
2. Please send us a video showing the audio quality of the camera. You can upload the video to your cloud server (such as Google Drive), generate a download link, and send it to me via a private message.
Best Regards
