Can we have an option to force the vacuum to sleep when we switch off the power to the dock?

instead of draining power every day after cleaning?

 

I am using a TAPO wifi switch and previously with a Xiaomi vacuum it switches off and goes into sleep mode once I have charged it after cleaning. And the next day there will be enough battery to clean the whole house. 
 

I am unable to do this with the TAPO 😌

 

also the robot returns to the dock once batt hits 20%. Can we lower this to 10%?
I have just a small room to clean and the task will be complete for the day?

 

Hoping a new firmware can add theses features to be more environmentally friendly? And green too by saving electricity.

Tapo robot vacuum has an energy-saving mode that will disable all device's functions (such as LEDs, sensors, WiFi, etc) except the charging feature. You may check if that fits your needs.

  • To activate energy-saving mode: when the robot vacuum is docked, press and hold the Power button and the Dock button for more than 15 seconds until the LED turns off.
  • Exit the energy-saving mode: press the Power button.

 

 

The minimum battery level that triggers the robot vacuum to return for recharging cannot be changed. Let's keep your post here and see if other users have the same needs.

thanks for your suggestion about the energy saving mode. But unfortunately it would be too cumbersome to do it on the vacuum itself every day after cleaning job is done.

 

It would be nice if this mode can be auto activated via the app once cleaning is completed and returned to the dock?

 

Currently I am charging about 2 hours and 45 minutes prior to cleaning each day and it gets to about 55%.
My cleaning job takes about 50 minutes to complete and I am usually left with 25 to 29% battery - which would eventually drain to 0 after a few hours. 

 

With my previous robot vacuum, I was charging only about 1 hour 15min each day and I got close to 95%.

it goes into sleep mode after I switch off power to the dock using a TAPO wifi switch (once charging is done) and I have more than enough battery for the next cleaning. Overall I was charging much less and saving on electricity bills. 

 

This TAPO vacuum cleans better and quieter than my previous vacuum. Just hoping it can be more energy efficient - charging faster and draining less between cleaning jobs.
