hi, just got the hub h200, with door magnets and a smart button, i really dont understand how to automate it to: when i press button, the magnets should be activated and inform me when "opened" and also sound alarm via hub. when twist the button, magnets should deactivate, but all i find is how to dim light and turn on lights.

where do i look?

IN the app, go to the home page, then into the Home Hub from all devices. Then click the top right settings icon and go down to Smart Actions. Now click the + button top right and select automation, then specifiy whatever you want it to do, by stipulating what the trigger is (switch) and what the action should be (action). Hope this helps.

There are two things to do:

1. Create an automation for the contact sensor and the hub.

2. Create two more automations to enable and disable the above automation by using the smart button.

How to create Smart Action (Automation or Shortcut) on Tapo app

You can enable sensor notification in two ways, using sensor's own notification feature, or choose to send notifications through automation.

a. Sensor's notification feature (Device Settings > Notification): this notification is available for 'opened' event only, and it can be enabled or disabled using automation.

b. Through automation: 'Send Me Notification' is an available action in automation, and the notification content is customizable. When this automation is triggered, all the actions will be executed as configured, like sending a notificaiton, ring the hub, control other Tapo smart devices, etc.

Personally, I would recommend the latter option -- using automation. As you can configure all the settings in one place. There's no need to switch back and forth between the sensor device settings page and the automation page.
