Model: EAP653
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.3.4

Hello everyone,

I have a Linux server with controller software 6.0.0.24, a gateway ER7206 v2.20

2.2.3, and an access point EAP653(EU) v1.0

1.3.4. I would like to replace my Ruckus infrastructure and need the EoGRE function. Unfortunately, I can't get it to work and I can't find any helpful information on the internet. Has anyone else gotten it to work and, if so, what's the trick? Is my hardware not compatible with this scenario?

Thank you in advance for your help.

  @Majko Thanks for confirming. From our dev team, the next firmware update for your device that will have full integration with Controller 6.0 (and thus the functionality mentioned in the FAQ I posted) will be available on the official website soon. Unfortunately, I don't have an exact release date, but we will need to wait for that.

  @Majko Can you confirm the Firmware version for your EAP? Also, please check out the guide here if you haven't already: How to set up an SSID with EoGRE Tunnel using Omada EAP | Omada Network Support

  @NeilR_M

Do you know if there are any plans to implement gre on Omada routers in controller mode?

  @MR.S Just got a response back from our team...unfortunately, no, there are no current plans to implement GRE on Controller-managed gateways.
