Hub doesn't ring when doorbell button is pressed and when I go to settings to turn on hub ringing in paired chimes it just says connection unstable please try again later. Please help.

How far is the doorbell from the hub? Try to move the hub closer to your doorbell. And while you're doing this, if your Tapo H200 hub is connected via WiFi, pay attention to the network connection of the hub, it can't be too far away from the router, otherwise, both the hub and the doorbell will be offline.

 

Here is the network topology of these devices, which should help clarify why both connections require special attention.

Router --- (Wireless: 2.4GHz WiFi) --- Tapo H200 --- (Wireless: TP-Link SubGHz) -- D230

 

You can also try to restart both the hub and the doorbell, see if that helps.

Hello and thank you for replying, after restarting the router, and testing wifi connection, the hub's connection is perfect(full bars)and connected with Ethernet, and the doorbell's connection is almost full wifi bars(on from being full). I wouldn't say it has a weak connection. When I go to paired chimes and click on the hub I get the error network unstable, it goes away and the I I click on enable but nothing happens it just disables itself again. My network is 2.5/5g. Maybe I need to manually split it into two networks?
