Model: Tapo D235
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

My current doorbell is an old Legrand bell (type unknown, no manual available).

I want to install my new D235 wired and continue to use the old chime, and I'm wondering if this is possible?

In the photo: between 1 and 2 = 238V... between 3 and 4 = 10.6V (the push button is currently connected to this)... between 4 and 5 = 10.6V.

Do I need to install a bypass somewhere, and to which terminals should the D235 be connected?

Thank you for your input!

Hi,
I don't know the internal structure of your circuit; based solely on the provided image, you could try connecting D235 to pins 3 and 4. Below are the instructions to install the Tapo D235.
How to install Tapo Doorbell (Tapo D235/Tapo D225/TD25)

If you want the D235 to work with the existing chime, please don't install a jumper wire, and disable the D235's Always-On Mode (then the camera does not support 24/7 recording).

Best Regards
