The anti-theft alarm is triggered by physical tampering, not automation. You just need to make sure this feature is enabled in the doorbell's device settings

The camera or doorbell doesn’t record based on automations (not supported) — it’s triggered by events. Alternatively, you can start a recording manually during live view, or set up 24/7 continuous recording if your device is AC-powered.

@Wayne-TP I understand that the anti-theft is triggered by physical tampering. I had my doorbell stolen. What I was requesting is that the theft alarm should be a smart event trigger. When the anti-theft is triggered I would like to turn on lights etc.

This was the feature request. This ability would have been extremely useful when my doorbell was stolen to be able to turn on recording on another camera that might have been able to catch video of the thief.
