Camera for 3d-Printer
Hi,
I'm using a Tapo C110 to observe my 3d printer. I like the camera and the features. Only the quality could be better.
The 3d models are only ~20 cm away form the camera. It's difficult for this camera to get clear images.
Is there a better choice for such a scenario, where I have to use a wifi camera?

Hi,
Thank you for sharing your use case with us. For observing your 3D printer at a distance of only about 20 cm, the image quality from a standard home security camera like the Tapo C110 may indeed be less than ideal. At such close range, most standard cameras struggle to achieve clear, sharp focus.
In this scenario, we would recommend the following options:
1. Adjust the setup: Try moving the camera farther away from the 3D printer, if possible, to help the lens focus more effectively. A slightly longer distance often improves clarity.
2. Consider a different camera type: For very close-up monitoring (such as macro or near-field applications), a camera specifically designed for close-range photography—such as a webcam with macro capability or a dedicated inspection camera—would likely perform better. We currently do not have a Tapo model specifically optimized for such short-distance viewing.
If you still require a Wi-Fi camera for this purpose, you may wish to look for models from other brands with close-up shooting features that better suit your needs.
