Hello,

It is not recommended to connect the C500 directly to a junction box for the following reasons:

1. The camera requires DC power from the included adapter. Direct connection to a junction box will damage the device and may cause a fire hazard.

2. The included adapter has built-in overcurrent and surge protection. Bypassing it leaves the camera vulnerable to power surges.

3. Cutting or modifying the cable will break the waterproof seal, leading to moisture damage over time.

4. Any damage caused by improper wiring or a non-original power supply will not be covered by warranty.

Please use the included adapter to power the camera.
