Turn on spotlight, not flash on alarm
when camera detects motion, spotlight flashes for a few seconds.
it would be nice to steady light for a programmable length of time.

Thank you for your feedback. May I know if you would like the spotlight to stay steadily on during the day or at night? If you need this feature at night, please be aware that our night vision modes include ‘Full Color Mode’ and ‘Smart Mode.’ In Full Color Mode, the spotlight will remain on continuously throughout the night. In Smart Mode, the spotlight will turn on only when motion is detected.

At the moment, when the camera detects motion during the night, the spotlight flashes. I would like to suggest an option that allows the spotlight to remain continuously on for a short, configurable period (for example, 30 seconds) after motion is detected.
This is not primarily intended to improve the quality of the recorded footage. Rather, the purpose is to use the spotlight as an active deterrent against intruders.
A sudden bright light turning on when someone approaches the property can be a very effective deterrent and may make the difference between an attempted intrusion and an abandoned one. In many cases, the light itself can alert or scare away a potential intruder before they proceed any further.
Ideally, this could be implemented as a configurable setting, allowing the user to choose the duration for which the spotlight remains continuously on after motion is detected (e.g. 10, 30, 60 seconds), instead of only flashing.
I believe this would be a very useful security feature and would significantly increase the practical value of the camera's spotlight functionality.

Hi,
Thank you for your suggestion. Our camera already meets your needs. Go to Camera Settings > Video and Display > Night Vision Mode > Smart Mode. Once enabled, your camera will turn on the spotlight steadily (not flashing) when it detects motion. You can give it a try.
Additionally, you can manually set how long the spotlight stays on. Go to Camera Settings > Spotlight Settings to set the duration (e.g., 5 or 10 minutes) to suit your preferences.

Thank you for testing. Does the camera also flash 5 times at night when it detects motion? Please check whether the camera has successfully switched to night mode ( color night vision).

Understood. As you mentioned, you have set the camera to Smart Mode. However, this mode only takes effect when the camera can switch to night vision mode.
Could you please check the live feed at night to see if the image is clear? Specifically:
When no motion is detected, does the live view page appear in black and white (night vision)?
When motion is detected, does the camera trigger an alarm, and does the spotlight turn on?
If, at night, the camera only flashes the light but doesn't switch to night vision or trigger an alarm after detecting motion, please provide a relevant video for further review.
Additionally, if your only requirement is that the light turns on when motion is detected at night, you can actually disable the Alarm function. Leave Night Mode set to Smart Mode, then test whether the light turns on when motion is detected.
