Camera is useless without network storage: FTP/SMB. Anybody can stole the camera AND storage too.

So, Tp-link do you have any firmware upgrade plans??? Or we need to move to other cameras? Use "cloud" storage option for high end cameras. Please let us with entry level cameras to store easily/cheap  via FTP or SMB protocol.

Thanks

I bought a Tapo C325WB camera thinking that I could use the FTP protocol.

I was expecting to replace six ~10years old camera with Tapo but I really need this feature.

This is a must-have feature for me, is this feature being implemented soon?

I would like to avoid returning the product and look for another camera, I really liked the AI and the integration with the SmartThings home automation currently available.

@Grevel

I don't think they will ever provide this feature, they want you to subscribe to their cloud storage so you keep paying them.

If you want to store the backups locally I recommend you buying another brand such as ReoLink

Would be nice if support will answer about that request. Seems many people want to use this feature.
I stopped buying more cameras because my cameras are not able to use FTP/SMB.

I bought a H200 hub and hoped that it would save the videos but later I saw that only a few camera types are supported. Not mine, of course! :(

My cams: C225, C520WS, C325WB
