Can someone explain what is difference in H100 and H200. Can not see anyone selling H200 in New Zealand. Want to attach T315 temperature  and humidity monitor with P115 smart plug so that I can create a automation for heater to turn on once temperature is dropped down to targeted range.

So wondering that could be better option. H100 or H200. And do I need Tapo T310 sensor as well? Thanks

The H100 and H200 are the Tapo SubG hub which is compatible with Tapo SubG devices. The normal Tapo smart home line does NOT require a hub, such as the Tapo P115 plug. You can check whether a product requires a hub on its Product Overview page.

The H200 supports both camera devices (security camera & Doorbell) and IOT devices (smart sensor, button, switch), while the H100 supports IOT devices only.

Want to attach T315 temperature  and humidity monitor with P115 smart plug so that I can create a automation for heater to turn on once temperature is dropped down to targeted range.

>>To achieve this, you will need the products: a Hub (H100/H200)+ T315/T310 (no screen)+ P115, then create a Smart Action -- Automation.

If you are planning to upgrade to a more comprehensive smart home system in the future, I would recommend considering the H200 as it offers a wide range of product options to enrich your future choices.

The H100 and H200 are usually sold in sets, together with other SubG products. You can check the list of TP-Link authorized retailers to see if they have separate hubs for sale.

The IoT devices work with the hub even without the SD card, please don't worry.

Both models are ok. If you plan to expand your smart home equipment in the future, such as adding a camera, you can consider purchasing the H200 in advance.

@Wayne-TP Hello, If I plan to use only IoT devices, does the H200 make sense for me? Is it possible to store something on Micro SD from IoT, temperature graphs? Thx.

I prefer Tapo H100, because it's more simple to install and it has a good design. I've got Tapo H200 at home and is useful to play Jingle Bells for 1000 hours 😂😂😂. If you got sensors, install Tapo H100, if you got cameras install Tapo H200 because it accept MicroSD card and it's got 4K resolution for cameras, this is my tip. If you find errors of my comment or of my English (I'm not english), reply.

@LuckyMittu Hello. I have some c210 and c320ws cameras, a few t110 sensors and two h100. I was about to buy another h100 to use it as an alarm. If I upgrade to h200, will I be able to still use my devices with my h200?

And is there any improvement in h200 compared to h100? Will sound louder? the devices connect better? or inside the app, will I have more options than using h100?

Thanks!

Adding an additional hub to the same network does not affect the normal operation of the current devices. The interaction between the smart devices is carried out through Tapo automation, it is not about which hub they're connected to.

Your two cameras are WiFi devices, they're connected to the router directly while the sensor connects to the hub, they can still work together by creating automation.
