The Routine Actions page is confusing. It doesn't do anything, it's just a non-editable list of "templates" to things that can easily be achieved through the Shortcuts and Automation pages. Instead, it would be much better to have the ability to duplicate existing shortcuts and automations.

Hi,
The Routine Actions include some basic Shortcuts and Automation entries, you can edit these Shortcuts and Automation entries and apply these settings for your smart devices, and they work the same as the entries under the Shortcuts and Automation feature.
Best Regards

OK I think I know what the problem is, and it's very easy to fix.

The problem is the page title: "Routine Actions". The word "action" implies something gets done, an action is executed. Most people expect a series of commands will be executed when they tap the "Arrive Home" button, for example. In reality this is not true, these buttons are just TEMPLATES! This page should have been named Templates, not Routine Actions.

After tapping the Arrive Home button, the next screen shows two buttons at the bottom: Edit and Apply. The problem here is the Apply button. Most users read "apply" and understand that tapping this button will EXECUTE the actions and automations of the Leave Home button. Instead, what happens is it creates a shortcut. Again, it's a wording problem. The button should be labelled "Create", not "Apply", when a shortcut with the name "Leave Home" does not exist yet. If a "Leave Home" shortcut already exists, then the button could be labelled "Save".

So, in short, rename as follows to make the user interface more intuitive:

Routine Actions → Templates

Apply button (shortcut does not exist yet) → Create

Apply button (shortcut already exists) → Save
