Randomly when using the web interface in the AP500, w/ the latest released firmware and the latest beta firmware, i have a problem where the unit stops responding. it stops responding to ping and i must reset the unit w/ the power button. happens in chrome and firefox. i have the multi-ssid mode enabled and multiple vlans. this makes the unit unuseable. is this a known issue ? is there a fix planned ?

[EDIT]
The problem was not with the web interface hanging. When accessing the multi-ssid mode settings - eg enabling/disabling one of the vlans/ssids, saving changes, etc - the device would lose its gateway or routing config. i was accessing the device from a system on a different vlan than the ap500, so when the gateway/routing got lost it seemed like the web interface was not responding. i changed to another system on the same vlan as the ap500 and the web interface was up and i could ping it. when i used the diagnostics to ping from the ap500 out, i could ping other devices on the same vlan but i could not ping devices not on the same vlan. tplink support gave me a fix for this as noted below.

When this issue happen and you ping this device, it won't have responded? it seems this device is crashed, you can contact with the support of tp-link

"When this issue happen and you ping this device, it won't have responded? "
Yes, is that unclear from what i wrote: "it stops responding to ping and i must reset the unit w/ the power button"

"it seems this device is crashed, "
yes, it seems that way.

"you can contact with the support of tp-link"
yes, i have. the purpose of posting here was to see if any other users of this device have encountered the same issue.

Hello!
We've got exactly the same problem with two different AP500 devices. Firmware AP500_V1_151124 and AP500(EU)_V1_170823_beta.
Configuration is MultiSSID and VLAN too. If you try to configure the device or Enable/Disable Radio on some SSIDs device is crashing. Both devices 100Mbit Auto Configured, fixed IP, WPA2.

tp link support gave me a fix in ticket #416391 - beta firmware: http://support.tp-link.com/f/3ce5b333f2/?dl=1

the problem (for me) seemed to be that when multi-ssid mode was enabled, after fiddling w/ the multi-ssid mode settings the device was losing its gateway configuration. the web interface was still responsive if i was accessing it from the same vlan. initially i had been accessing the web interface from a different vlan so it seemed like the web interface was flaking out but really it was the loss of the gateway.
