In the DCHP client list of my router there is a client whose lease time is indicated as permanent. I'm wondering how this could be. I haven't been able to find anything about permanent lease times in my router's documentation.

That happens when you have a device listed under Address Reservation in the DHCP settings. You are then basically reserving a specific IP address for a given MAC address (device) which means a lease renewal is no longer required.

I have DHCP clients shown as "permanent" that are not on my "Address Reservation" list.  They once were on the list, but I removed them.  But they still show as "permanent" clients in my DHCP client list.  Archer C5400 v2, current firmware.
