WA860RE not working w/ TL Wireless Router AC1750

Have had the WA860RE for a couple of years and used it with a Linksys E2500 with no problems. Upgraded to a TL AC1750 (Archer A7) and cannot get the RE to link with the AC1750. I've tried all three methods - WPS, Browser and using TL Tether app. Any known issues with pairing the two?
I decided to upgrade when the RE started dropping its connection to the E2500 occasionally.
