Making IFTTT trigger for smart switches

You can start a new thread to share your ideas or ask questions.Would love to see a trigger on IFTTT or some sort of native functionality in the Kasa app that would allow me to activate a smart plug when I manually press a smart switch. I'm looking to activate lights on both sides of my bed with a single button press since the regular plugs aren't wired together, or perhaps press a switch to occasionally activate a scene once I walk through the door. Has anyone had any luck setting up something like this? If not, is there any chance Kasa might have something like this in the works?

Hey TP-Link - I've been waiting for years for the ability to use my switches and plugs as triggers with IFTTT - doesn't look like you guys are planning on doing anything about it. It also looks like WeMo already has this functionality. Perhaps it's time to switch?

Any updates from TP-Link on this feature request? Adding Smart Actions is great and it has solved some of the issues I have (except for the limit of 3), but it does not replace using switches as IFTTT triggers. I've tried other vendors that do have this feature but stuck with TP-Link because I felt the overall experience was better.
I've seen TP-Link add a lot of critical features that were missing originally, but this seems to be one of the last glaring omissions.

I would like to have the hability to make a action when one of my smart plugs are turned on/off, it doesn't make sense to don't have the options to trigge, also wemo does

I thought this functionality existed for these switches. It frustrating because I just bought a dozen to update my house. It looks like I am gonig to have to return them for Wemo switches. It annoying because I already have a few tp-link devices

So it looks like there has been a request for IFTTT for 3 years but it would appear that TP-Link is either ignoring this or is not able to figure it out. Is that the case, or did I miss the announcement?
That said, TP-Link could just hook up with IFTTT (https://ifttt.com/) and have them develop the connection.
