The devices on our network are not showing up in the devices area. Any idea why? Or more importantly, what do I need to do to fix this.

Frist, thing is to make sure the devices are acutally connected to the router's network and not another device, such as an ISP's gateway, if you have one.  To do this check the IP address of one of the devices and ensure its in the LAN subnet of your Archer C5400.  If they are then make sure the devices are not on your Guest network.  in the screenshot the right hand image at the top click on the word "Guest".  Lastly make sure your router's firmware is up to date and on the latest version.

I cannot connect to tp link through the router to check the firmware.

We only have the one router active right now, so the devices have to be going through it.

Have you setup a TP-Link Cloud/TP-Link ID account yet?  If not that would be why your failing there.  Also you can maunally download and install the frimware without having the router connected to the cloud.

One last thing,  When you click on advanced then status please look at the IP address.  Please let me know if it starts with  192.168, 10.0, or 172.16.

thank you
