Hello all

 

Just bought this router 2 weeks ago and everything was working fine but starting at the begining of this week the internet connection light will turn oarge or red for a couple of minutes at a time. I will do this every 30 or so minutes and causes all devices connected to the router to lose internet connection. Wondering if anyone else has had this issue? Thanks in advance for the help.

@Amsneb If the internet light is turning amber, the router is indicating that it still sees a connection (from router to modem), but there is no internet connection.

 

What would be recommended is to swap out the Ethernet cable to see if that may be causing the connection drops. Contacting the ISP and seeing if they are seeing service drops on their end would help to make sure the modem and internet signal is fine.

 

You could also wire a computer directly to the modem rather then the TP-Link router for several hours to see if the issue is from the modem or the routers WAN port that is dropping the connection.
