BE25 Backhaul issues in Access Point Mode
Hi All,
We've have had a crap home network in our 3 floor town home for years. We recently upgraded and this is what I did (and this is my problem).
I have a cable modem (in the basement where the cable comes in) with an Ethernet out to a new Archer BE3500.
I have created a very stable wired network using my existing regular coaxial and using MoCA 2.5Ghz adapters.
I have the BE3500 with the WIFI turned off.
I have a set of 3 WIFI 7 Deco BE25's. Main Deco is connected directly to the BE3500 and the two satellite Deco's are via WIFI and they are setup ith Access Point Mode.
Lastly, two streaming boxes provided by the cable company that are Ethernet based.
I have the network setup and everything appears great. Everything works!
My problem lies with trying to setup the top floor Deco for Ehernet Backhaul. I thought it would be as simple as plugging in the Ehernet to the upstairs Deco and using a patch cable to the streaming box. Unfortunately, when I do that, the whole network goes to hell. No TV, Deco's show green but no internet.
I'm feeling like I'm missing something really basic or perhaps the Deco doesn't support this? Anyone have any ideas please? I can continue with the existing setup with little pain but I would really like to take advantage of the added benefit of the backhaul at the furthest point away from the main unit.
Thanks in advance.
