Android "Connected but No Internet" Bug when assigned to HomeShield Profiles - Deco BE65 Pro
Hello,
I am running a Deco BE65 Pro (3-Pack) system and am running into the well-documented firmware bug regarding Android devices and HomeShield Parental Control profiles.
Whenever any Android phone or tablet is assigned to a profile, the device instantly drops its connection status to "Connected but no internet." The second the device is removed from the profile, its internet connection fully restores.
To save time, I have already thoroughly performed the following troubleshooting steps:
1. Explicitly disabled Android's "Private DNS" feature on the target client devices.
2. Changed the Android Wi-Fi privacy settings from "Use Randomized MAC" to "Use Device MAC" to ensure proper profile tracking.
3. Temporarily disabled the "Malicious Content Filter" and other security toggles to check for background URL blocks (nothing is showing up in the block logs).
4. Bumped the profile age category up to 18+ to see if it was an aggressive content filter issue.
Despite all of this, the profile assignment completely breaks internet access to Android devices. It appears to be a core software routing/logic conflict within this firmware revision.
Can an admin or support engineer please look into my account? I am happy to provide my TP-Link ID via direct message if there is an active beta firmware patch or hotfix available for the BE65 Pro to resolve this profile loop.
Thank you!
