I registered to add my voice to this request. I know I can set a count down timer on the app, but it's only available on the app. I would buy so many more of these switches if I could set it up so that when my kids turn on the switch it would turn off after "X" minutes. Or if I had something turn it on (motion detection for example) it would turn OFF again so that I wouldn't have to manually do so. KASA doesn't even have any triggers on IFTTT so I can't use it to set a count down or something.

I tried but cause the gas fireplace uses low voltage to open and close the valve  it wonr work. Best think is to get a remote unit or a separate thermostat. This is what I did no I can set the fireplace to 1 temperature and the rest of the house another.

So I just figured out that you can use SmartThings to set up an automation that will automatically turn your lights/switches/plugs off after a set period of time.

Yup, we actually just added SmartThings support with the latest version of the Kasa App.  Hope you enjoy it.

I tried it with my gas fireplace as the switch is not on 120v it didnt work. So i found a wall mount thermostat that work with my set up. Now i can set the temperature an it will turn on and off as need.

Absolutely! My WeMo switches do this and I need the functionality for my towel heater! And Noah schedule won't do because I have too much variability.

get a WeMo switch then because it has this functionality although the switch is much bigger and bulkier and blocks the other outlet on your 110 j-box

There are a couple of wall switches with these features ranging from the basic dial to these fancier ones that are digital. one of the digital ones requires a neutral line and one doesn't so be careful ordering based on your wall. Also registered to throw my vote behind this. I have a Ring cam on my door and would love to use IFTTT to trigger my Kasa Bulbs to turn on when it detects motion then turn off after 5 minutes.

My Meross smart plugs do this, and my Meross 3-way dimmer, which tp-link also doesn't have, does this as well, PLEASE add this to the KP200!
