Hi  @John-2026_

Welcome to the community!

Running into snags while setting up a range extender can be frustrating. TP-Link Wi-Fi Extenders are intentionally designed for streamlined setup; so to help you get your RE315 and router squared away, I recommend starting here: TP-Link Range Extender Not Connecting to Router | TP-Link

If you have a few moments, could you share a bit more about your network environment? This could help us better understand your setup and make recommendations.

  1. How far is the RE315 from your router?
  2. Is the router's Wi-Fi signal strong at the RE315's location?
  3. Have you tried setting up the RE315 in the same room as the router, then moving it to another room afterward?
  4. What is the hardware version and firmware version of your RE315?
  5. What's your router's model number?
