Model: Deco XE5300
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.3.1

I've had the Deco XE5300 system running for a while now and it's been fine. Booted my Windows PC yesterday and it was unable to connect to my WiFi network. I haven't made any changes to the computer since the last boot. Other devices in the home are able to connect to my WiFi network as normal.

I turned on my Guest Network and the problem PC is able to connect to that no problem at WiFi 6 and 5 GHz. I even connected to my IoT network on this PC. It just no longer connects to my primary WiFi network, and I'd like to know why and resolve it.

Things tried so far:

  • Restarted the network, of course. Including unplugging for several minutes and rebooting
  • Checked the Deco app and nothing is in the Blocked list
  • Did a PC power drain (cleared residual power in the system)
  • I unstalled and reinstalled the WiFi drivers for my motherboard. ASUS B650E Max with WiFi 6E
  • Reset the network in Windows
  • Flushed the DNS
  • Reverted back to the OEM WIFI antenna on the PC. I was using one with a longer cable for a week or so without problems
  • Removed the PC from the Deco app and then tried reconnecting. Same result; it will only connect to the Guest Network.
  • Tested wired ethernet connectivity on the PC using my old powerline adapter and that works, too.
  • Updated PC BIOS

Thanks in advance for advice and next steps!

EDIT, Solved: My son pointed out the two access points on the Deco mesh weren't power cycled when I unplugged the modem and main router areas of our network. Power cycling those two additional points seemed to have solved the problem. Thanks son!
