How to create an additional Network reserved for 5/6GHz?
I am running Deco version 3.10.455
Not really sure about the Hardware version (above). I just chose one of the options. It may be wrong (probably is).
I set up my new Deco63, as three node wired backhaul system with one tri-band network, plus one _IoT band for a couple finicky clients that require a 2.4 restricted band.
I'm not sure if it's neeeded at this moment, but I'd like the ability to add a separate SSID for wifi 5/6 bands only. In fact I tried to do this but am having a problem, which is the reason for this post.
The deco app provides for creating a new network via a couple different menu paths. Once I click the '+' and 'Create Network' links, the app simply states to 'follow the directions in the app' (my paraphrasing). There seems to be an expectation that it's easy to enter 'setup mode' with a blinking blue light on the 'Main' mesh node. In my case the light is solid green, as I have an active and connected network. The only way I have been able to get back to a blue blinking light is to reset the router. Which I do NOT want to do again.
It seems to me that, once you have established a network and are 'up and running' nicely (solid green light), then adding another network should be as simple as clicking a button, setting the SSID/Pswd, specifying the band(s) and that's about it (maybe a re-boot).
What am I missing? How do I navigate creating a new (additional) network without resetting the routers?
