Pressing Button for Light to stay on KS200M

Not sure if someone has started a thread on this subject or not, but is there any way when you press the button to turn on the power on the ks200m to stay on and manually turn it off? Mine won't stay on during the smart control hours I have it set for. (6pm to 6am) or is there something I'm missing? I believe it was working prior to a firmware update that came out last week.

@rgamino13 I have the switch with Firmware 1.0.12 and if you double press the switch to turn it on it will stay on until you turn it off. I ran the off time down to 15 seconds after motion to test and the light will stay on until you turn it off regardless of motion or not. Looks like they brought this manual on and off feature back.

@Chilidawg Thanks for pointing that new feature out. I see the 1.0.12 release notes mention it so I just upgraded my switch. I'll see how it goes. I am still going to keep my automation in place because it provides a failsafe if I forget to turn the lights back off (so thay don't stay on all night).

@Chilidawg Woohoo! Thanks for pointing this out to us! This is exactly how the switch worked originally! Then they updated the firmware around January 2023 and this feature disappeared. And, when I contacted them about it, they claimed that this feature never existed. So glad they added it back and so glad you pointed it out! Thanks!

@Jwelte YES!!! Need a "Hold" button to keep light on manually until you turn it off and need a "Light on Duration", to be able to control how long it stays on with motion.

@ask3538 - yes it does. What are you talking about? We use the app for this switch all the time..

As was stated by another user, we want...
1. When motion is detected, I want the light to come on and after motion is no longer detected, I want the light to turn off;
AND
2. I also want the ability to turn the light on manually and have it stay on until I turn it off manually.
i assumed this functionality was already available as it is obvious and basic. Without it, my wife has asked to remove these motion sensing switches. It is incredibly frustrating to be in the garage working and the light turns off every 5 minutes until you walk near the switch again.

@KyleHome Maybe I'm missing a detail, but my KS200M handles both of your use cases.
For #1, setup SmartControl in the App to define motion no longer detected turn light off delay. Light goes on upon detecting motion, and goes off after no motion is detected within the defined period (which can be short as 1 minute)
For #2, when you manually want to keep the lights on, just double tap the button while the lights are on. The white circle indicator will illuminate to indicate the manual override. They will stay on indefinately until you tap the button again to turn them off.
