Firmware Version:

I can't find the hardware or firmware info because I can't connect to the device any longer.

This light strip was purchased on Amazon (Prime) in Sept 2020 so perhaps that will help with hardware version.  Initial setup was done in the same room as my router and then it was installed at the other end of the house.  It has worked flawlessly for years.  Recently, it stopped responding to Google commands.  I unplugged and replugged it, tried to do a factory reset but it will not finish the setup.  It all goes well till the final connection.  I have installed the latest version of the app from the Play Store, reset the POE, reset my router.  Other TPLink and smart home devices at the same end of the house are working fine.  I can't tear out the light strip and bring it to the router (if that would even help). There are two Google Home screened devices, TPLink bulbs and outlets and a Google Streamer in the same bedroom/bathroom ensuite, and all are working.  Is there anything else I can try?

Thanks

Reset the strip to factory defaults and reinstall it in the Kasa app.  Once it's reset in the Kasa app, you will be able to find the hardware version under the device info button in its settings.

From there resync the Kasa Account in Google Home so it scans for devices.  That should restore Google commands unless there is something else wrong with the strip
