Hi,

The camera automatically switches between Day and Night modes based on ambient light. If it does not switch to Night Mode in low-light conditions, the ambient light level may not have reached the required threshold. Currently, this threshold cannot be adjusted in the Tapo app.

Here’s what you can try:

1. Toggle manually – Switch to Night Mode manually, then back to Auto. 
2. Reset the camera – A factory reset might fix the auto-switching.
3. Test in complete darkness – Put the camera in a dark room and see if it switches to Night Mode automatically. If it does, the issue is likely the ambient light level at the camera's location — try adjusting its position or the lighting.
