C325WB V2 Resetting and Smart Mode Night Setting
I am seeing two issues regarding the Night Mode Settings that I was wondering if TP-Link will be updating anytime soon. I own both the C325WB V1 and V2 and wished the V2 could work more like the V1.
1. For the C325WB V1 in the dark, I like how Smart Mode uses full color by default but when an activity is detected, it turns on the spotlights. Unfortunately, the C325WB V2 does not have this feature and instead, Smart Mode starts with Infrared (black and white) on and changes to Full-Color Mode / Spotlights on only when activity is detected. The standout feature of the C325WB is the fact that there is color in dark situations and in fact, I believe the color shows more information than infrared. Spotlights turning on can also signal to a trespasser that they are being recorded so is valuable. Does anyone know if TP-Link is working on updating the Smart Mode for V2 so that we would have the option to not use the infrared and have spotlights available with activity too?
2. I also noticed an operational error for the C325WB V2 in Night Mode. If Infrared Mode or Smart Mode is selected with the spotlight brightness set to anything above around 75, the camera restarts when the spotlights activate. I believe it is because the camera is trying to drive both the infrared and spotlight LEDs at the same time but the power supply isn't powerful enough. Without enough power, the camera restarts. I think this could be resolved in software by turning off the infrared LEDs before turning on the spotlight. Anyone know if TP-Link is currently addressing this issue as well?
Thanks all for your valuable knowledge.
