tl-SG108PE 8 port managed switch forgot password
Hello people,
i have the following problem. I'm trying to access the settings on the network switch but the easy smart configuration utility is not finding the switch. it's looking at some ip address (192.168.0.14) which is not the right one, I believe it should be looking at 192.168.0.1 (idk if its looking for it in the background but showing the one ending in14 for some odd reason.
Since i cant use the ESC utility, i tried logging in through the web portal (192.168.0.1) and a popup shows up asking for credential, unfortunately i dont remember them. i thought i wrote them down but lastpass goofed.
I also tried pushing the physical reset button on the switch by holding it for more than a minute, unplugging for 10 secs, pressing the button and holding while plugging in the power again and releasing after a while. tried it with and without ethernet cables connected. I also tried dissasembling the switch to see if there was a battery or something i could remove to clear cmos or something like in desktop pc's.
I tried contacting support but they also couldnt help me and suggested i contact their business line for switches.
im all out of options and will file a ticket to their business unit, but i wonder if anyone has any clue about how to hard reset the switch with the physical button.
