Unable to connect to the Internet

When you first set up Deco, after going through the whole setup process on the Deco APP, sometimes it might end with an Error: Unable to connect to the Internet.

Normally, when you got this error, the LED on the main Deco will also turn red.

 

Here, we will help you to fix this issue.

1. Please Tap “Skip This Step” on the bottom of the error page.

 

2. Then make sure the smartphone is connected to the Wi-Fi you just created and go back to Deco APP>More>Advanced>IPV4 to check whether there is a valid IP address here.

  • If the IP address is 0.0.0.0, it is very likely that you might choose the wrong internet connection type. Please check with the internet service provider whether Dynamic IP or PPPOE is the correct one for you.
  • If the IP address is not 0.0.0.0, please refer to this link to change the DNS server on the Deco: How to change DNS server settings on my Deco

 

3. After changing the DNS, if the LED is still red and also no internet service is available, please connect a computer to the modem directly, and check whether the computer has internet access.

After the above troubleshooting, if you still have any issues, please start a new thread and provide us with more details.

Hello, I am facing strange problem with a Deco M5 system. After set-up, all my devices e.g. tablets (android & iOS), mobile (android & iOS), windows laptop+desktop etc. connecting smoothly to WiFi & Internet, except my Apple MacBook (having Norton 360 installed in it) that it says it connects to WiFi but no Internet access, tried upgrading Deco firmware, turning fast Roaming off...no change. Any quick help with steps will be really great.

I have tried sevral time to configure my TpLink Deco M4 to use it in Access Point

The blue light on the m4  is flashing and I have connected the main router to the M4.

Deco should now be ready to configure...

It is connected to the Deco_xxxx network...

 

Then the search begin..... but it never find the Deco M4

 

What can I do..... to make it work ?

I'm trying to install my Deco M9 plus (v.1) but the main unit gest stuck pulsing green and the app on my phone can't find the network.

I've tried to reset and start all over a couple of times but it's still pulsing green, the last time for over an hour. What can I do?

Tengo que volver a instalar el expansor, conectop el cable de eternet y sigo las instrucciones del manual pero no puedo generar la clave y contraseña, me dice que no corresponde. Como puedo blanquearla la clave y contraseña que alguna vez cargué y no recuerdo? o como puedo recuperar las que ya cargué? Gracias por la ayuda
