KidShield is a fantastic tool for parents who want to ensure their child's online safety. Unlike the regular HomeShield Parental Control, which only functions when clients are connected to home Wi-Fi, KidShield Parental Control surpasses this limitation. Additionally, even if clients enable Randomize MAC address, KidShield's safeguards remain effective. By using KidShield, you can foster a safe and secure digital environment, allowing your child to explore the internet while you maintain control and supervision.

 

Is KidShield free for users?

Currently, KidShield is in the beta test phase which is free.

However, after KidShield is launched officially, you need to subscribe to the Total Parental Controls Package to use it.

***At the moment, the option "KidShield Profile" is available exclusively to a selected group of users. However, if you're interested in this feature, please comment below or send me a message.

How to set up a KidShield profile

Step 1: Please go to the App Store or Google Play to Install the "KidShield" APP on your child’s mobile phone.

 

 

Step 2: Create a KidShield profile on the Parents'Deco/Tether APP according to FAQ 3779.


 

Step 3: Monitor the Kids' online safety according to FAQ 3780.

So far, the KidShield entrance hasn't been fully implemented on different operation systems so the public beta testing hasn't started yet.

I will update here as soon as the test is ready.

I tried it it wont let me get past pair devices on my samung s23 running andriod 14

Hi is this just for the deco or does this work for routers aswell ( archer series)?

 

Currently a homshield subscriber. 

 

 

Long story short teenage son, always manages to somehow get around all the restrictions I implement and even by putting in age restrictions, internet site restrictions ect. 

 

he still manages to get around It especially when his friends get involved. 

 

Once he manages it activate a vpn its game over is it the same here with kid shield that once a vpn is activated none of the restrictions will work. 

 

In the homesheild I've got it doesn't say anything about app blocking or is that a feature only on kid sheild ?

 

Ideally I don't want to be paying for 2 subscriptions if one is better than the other and actually works.

Thanks for the feedback.

So far, the Early Access is for Deco only but later when it is officially launched, it works for the Archer series as well.
