Описание проблемы: To get both the TP-Link MR3020 v1 and TP-Link MR3220 v2.4 working with Altel.kz W02 dongle this is what I did:
In summary: W02 is a *hostless* 4G USB
** the oppoiste of hostless is regular (which you need a bin file for http://ofmodemsandmen.com/modems.html)
** hostless mean that you just needed to add the Altel API for the router to connect to the modem - that is all.
** Access point (APN): internet.altel.kz **
If I had learnt that two years ago... even two days ago... glad I learnt it now thought and did not throw it all in the trash.
I flashed both Routers with the Rooter firmware

*this is the firmware for v2 but it worked on my v2.4
To turn one into a dump access point I followed the following.

I had previously tried adding .bin files to the original fireware but could not find the firmware files. Now I understand I might have just needed to add the APN becuase it is a hostless modem!
Note, this is not to unlock the 4G, I can use Altel. People seem to speak about flashing with firmware for ERGO W02 3G / 4G ??
