Does anybody knows if a UTP-FO TP-Link converter (MC110CS) can be powered by mean of a 5VDC power supply directy instead of a 9VDC power supply, I mean, without the 127VCA-9 VDC adapter?

I could be sound so rear (and probably it does). I need to power the UTP-FO converter with DC, having 125VCD as primary tension level, but I could not find a 125-9VCD DC-DC converter.

I remember the old tp-link media convertor supports 5V and 9V at the same time, But the new hardware version may not.

Are you sure? The data sheet for the MC110CS V6 still lists 5V or 9V (see last page): http://static.tp-link.com/Media%20Converters%20datasheet%20.pdf

Hi R1D2, In my opinion, there are something wrong with this datasheet, I think tp-link will remove this datasheet from website(I have contacted with them). I consulted them some feature about new Media converotor in the past, the new MC 2XX V4.0 support 10/100/100Mbps.But this detasheet still say 1000Mbps, so this is the old datasheet, not the datasheet for new MC. For the power adapter, they can not give me confirmed information, they will consult with their RD engineer. I will share the new information to you.

do you already got a V4 model? Just bought a MC220L and received a V3, which according to an older TP-Link web page not online anymore should be the first version supporting Auto-MDI/MDIX on the TX port. Latest datasheet I found is for V2, but it claims that the MC2xx V2 would have Auto-MDI/MDIX (10/100/1000 Mbps), too, and also 5/9V power supply (it's this one: http://static.tp-link.com/resources/document/MC200CM_V2_Datasheet.pdf).

TP-LINK has contacted with me. The new Media convertor, MC110CS V6.0 don’t support 5v, only support 9V/0.6A.
Old MC2XXX supports Auto-MDI/MDIX, but don't support 10/100/1000Mbps Auto Negotiation, so old tp-link gigabit media convertor only support 1000Mbps, if you connect 100Mbps network adapter to MC2XX Series, they can't communicate with each other.
If you are interested, you can dismantle one MC2XX, you will find there are not MAC chipset, only one PHY chipset, Maybe this is the reason.
