Hello
I'va a couple of CPE510 v1.1 (firmware2.1.0 Build 20170609 Rel. 57434 (4555)), on in AP mode e 1 in client mode, connceting two segments of the same LAN.
The link is stable and TCP/IP works perfectly.
My problem is that multicast traffic (group 224.0.23.12) seems not to pass through the link.
I've an application software chat can see the two KNX/IProuters only if theu are connected to the same segment of the LAN. If they are "separared" by the wireless link described above the application software sees ontly the KNX/IProuter connected to the lan segment which the PC running the software is connected to.
Turning on/off 'IGMP proxy' makes no difference.
Any hint ?
thanks
Paolo

Hi Paolo,

Can you explain more about your network topology? What application software is it? And what Multicast protocol does this application software use?
If possible, you can capture the data packets by Wireshark and see if the multicast packets are on your PC with and without the CPE P2P link.

Hello
the topology is as follows:
knx/IProuter A and PC and linuxbox ---- switch----cpe-------cpe----switch---- knx/IProuter B (everything in the LAN 192.168.64.0/24)
Ths application software is not under my control, so I forwarded the requests about multicast protocol (I guess IGMP), wireshark to the responsble of the software.
Listening on the network from a linuxbox on the same segment, using tcpdump, I see a lot of packets coming from KNX/Iprouter A (192.168.64.34)
08:56:59.882169 IP 192.168.64.34 > 224.0.23.12: igmp v2 report 224.0.23.12
09:01:23.612784 IP 192.168.64.34.3671 > 224.0.23.12.3671: UDP, length 18
09:01:24.612259 IP 192.168.64.34.3671 > 224.0.23.12.3671: UDP, length 18
09:01:25.611635 IP 192.168.64.34.3671 > 224.0.23.12.3671: UDP, length 18
09:01:26.611112 IP 192.168.64.34.3671 > 224.0.23.12.3671: UDP, length 18
09:01:26.715387 IP 192.168.64.34.3671 > 224.0.23.12.3671: UDP, length 18
09:01:27.609290 IP 192.168.64.34.3671 > 224.0.23.12.3671: UDP, length 18
09:01:28.608720 IP 192.168.64.34.3671 > 224.0.23.12.3671: UDP, length 18
09:01:29.607993 IP 192.168.64.34.3671 > 224.0.23.12.3671: UDP, length 18

From knx/iprouter B (192.168.64.32) I see only this packets
08:52:41.223612 IP 192.168.64.32 > 224.0.23.12: igmp v2 report 224.0.23.12
08:56:56.211715 IP 192.168.64.32 > 224.0.23.12: igmp v2 report 224.0.23.12
never UDP packets like from the kxn/IProuter A (see above)
many thanks
Paolo

Being in urgency we have replaced the couple with two LOCOM5, configured plain vanilla. It works. Definitely on CPE510 there's something wrong with multicast traffic.
