CPE 210 Problem

I just purchased a CPE 210 for the purpose of projecting wifi from my outdoor shop to my barn in order to set up some IP cameras. I'm having a lot of trouble getting it to work. I've tried to set it up both as an access point and as a repeater but whenever I try to connect a device to it after its been set up it gives me a password error (when I know the password is correct) or in the case when it's set up as a repeater the internet stops working all together. It seems to be my current modem/router and the CPE are squabbling over the IP.
Any advice?

Repeater mode is not recommended for outdoor Point to Point long range. Instead, configure an AP and a Client.
Basic Configuration:
1. Configure CPE210 in your outdoor shop as an Access Point and Configure the one on your barn side as a Client.
2. Set up a static IP address for both of them in the same subnet as the main router.
What's the distance between the shop and the barn?
Are there any obstacles(like trees, houses) between? Make sure a clear Line of Sight.

The distance between the two is only about 300 ft. I only purchased one, I thought I would be able to link it in to my existing internet in the shop and mount it outside (facing the barn) in order to project the wifi to where I need it.

Not possible. Your client devices (smartphones, tablets, laptops) in the barn can't cover such a distance to the CPE due to the weak antennas of the client devices (not the CPE!) and if they could, you wouldn't need a CPE at all. Best solution would be two CPEs, one at your shop wired to your Internet router and the other one at your barn wired to another indoor access point, which distributes the signal locally to the clients. Also, a CPE510 (5 GHz band) would perform much better then a CPE510 in such a setup.
