Hi everyone!

I just started research and I'm having problems setting up a local network for controlling a robot arm
My idea is this:

I would love to set up a local network between the computer and the robot arm while still be able to go online on the computer.
The robot has a static IP address and subnet mask setup already.
How should I do it?

thanks!
Terry

I assume that the IP of the robot arm is in a different subnet, right? If so, you could use another virtual network interface on top of the physical interface on your Linux box to be able to reach both, your router's subnet and the robot arm's subnet. Search the web for how to setup virtual interface on Linux.
