I am ordering T1600G-28PS, 52PS and 52TS switches. All have gigabit SFP ports. I have existing CAT6 wiring between locations but cannot run fibre so I need RJ45 SFP transceiver gigabit modules to interconnect switches.

I don't see any TP-Link RJ45-SFP transceivers. Startech.com recommends their SFP1000TXST transceivers. Has anyone else used these modules or do you have another third party RJ45 SFP modules that you can recommend with these switches?

Are there any advantages to using a RJ45-SFP gigabit module over a regular RJ45 port for connecting switches?

As long as the RJ45 ports are Gigabit ports, too: No, there isn't any advantage using SFP modules for copper lines.

1.
