Hi there.

I have 3 units of TL-SG3424 and 3 new units of T1700G-28TQ. In the past i have worked with TL-SG3424 with vlan's and not problem.
After buyed the new models i try to configure to work with my vlans.
Current i use vlan 1, 30 and 40.
vlan1 to manage equipment
vlan30 to local network
vlan40 to external network

Can't connect the new swithces to old ones.
Can't figer out to configure switch (Unit LED indicator) in the front of new model.
In T1700G-28TQ manual i try to configure simple scario to test swith as in page 86 and doesn't work.
Also i try to link port 28 between 2 T1700G-28TQ via fiber and don't get link.

Please reply me back.
Best Regards
Alexandre Silva

Maybe related to your configuration. You can post your topology and VLAN configuration.

>>Can't figer out to configure switch (Unit LED indicator) in the front of new model.

Do you use the stack? (you mention the Unit LED)

Do you mean STP? If the STP doesn't work, you will see the broadcast storm caused by the loop.

You can try to set up 1000M and duplex for fiber port. Or maybe the SFP module isn't compatible.
