TL-SG108E V3, 1.0.0 Build 20171214 Rel.70905

After a few hours or perhaps a day or so, the ping time to the switch from a local computer goes from 2ms to 240ms. When this happens, the Easy Smart Configuration Utility ver 1.1.1.0, will intermittently loose contact with the switch with the message "Timeout, no response from agent!". Rebooting the switch fixes the problem but only temporarily.

Is there any way to find out what is going on in the switch when this happens?

ping results at 2 second intervals:

64 bytes from 192.168.0.138: icmp_seq=605 ttl=64 time=2.02 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.0.138: icmp_seq=606 ttl=64 time=2.36 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.0.138: icmp_seq=607 ttl=64 time=2.29 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.0.138: icmp_seq=608 ttl=64 time=28.0 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.0.138: icmp_seq=609 ttl=64 time=44.0 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.0.138: icmp_seq=610 ttl=64 time=77.8 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.0.138: icmp_seq=611 ttl=64 time=166 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.0.138: icmp_seq=612 ttl=64 time=171 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.0.138: icmp_seq=613 ttl=64 time=204 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.0.138: icmp_seq=614 ttl=64 time=230 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.0.138: icmp_seq=615 ttl=64 time=246 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.0.138: icmp_seq=616 ttl=64 time=243 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.0.138: icmp_seq=617 ttl=64 time=246 ms

Edit: It seems this occurs when the Easy Smart utility is left ON. The problem has not returned since I closed the utility.

Hi

How many PCs are connected to this switch?

I sugget you unplug these PCS when you meet the issues as you described, then only connect one PC to do the test.

The issue as  Switch have not enough source to handle the task.
