PING and GUI issue

Model: T1500G-10MPS
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 2.0.0 Build 20180530 Rel.44733(s)

My device seems to drop packets when doing a constant ping and also the ping times are quite high for a device connect directly to the switch.

Ping results:

Pinging 10.0.0.15 with 32 bytes of data:

The GUI then also becomes non-responsive as well as the CLI becomes progressively slow until i have to unplug the power and boot up again.

I found that TP-Link has released the new firmware for T1500G-10MPS. You may try the new firmware. And you can check the CPU usage. Try to disable some function like SNMP, LLDP and so on. These function may cause CPU usage increase.

@R1D2 thanks i found it, i had to change my support link from https://www.tp-link.com/za/support/download/t1500g-10mps/#Firmware to https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/download/t1500g-10mps/#Firmware

It seems the South African site does not have the firmware option at all.

Should it matter that the firmware is not listed for my country?

Could be rewritten by the TP-Link website, they use Geolocation IP database to redirect to your country. I posted the link to the US site.

No, the switch firmware is UN (universal) firmware, so it's identical in every country. Some countries may just lag behind regarding their support site updates.
