Model: CPE220
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 2.2.1 Build 20190620 Rel. 61512 (0000)

Hello everyone,

I'm asking for some help to solve my trouble with my access point.

I put a CPE220 in access point mode and connected 4 stations. All clients are CPE210 model, but AP is CPE220.

The farest client is 950 meters away and the nearest is 500 meters.

All clients get signal around -85 dbm. NOTE: I know they are receiving with low strength because LoS is not completely clear.

The trouble is that every 2 o 3 days. The AP gets stuck, 2 o 3 of the stations stop transmitting data, when I login into the admin page, I see that one of the stations is with 0 mbps as negotiated data rate, normally, they negotiate as minimum 21.7 mbps data rate. But they never update again until I reboot the AP.

I'm using 10 Mhz channel width and MAXStream is ON. AP and stations are in 802.11 N only, and fixed channel. Max data rate is MCS15.

When the AP whas using 20 Mhz channels, It didn't happen. but need to be at 10mhz to increase signal strength. (Im in a rural area with low noise floor, -108 dbm, but there are too many trees, all stations are mounted in 12m height poles, but Is not enough).

What actions should I take?

Considering use another devices with more antenna gain and 5 ghz.

my hardware is CPE220 V3 with 2.2.1 Build 20190620 Rel. 61512 (0000) firmware.

Thank you in advance. All feedback will be welcome.

5 GHz links wil give even worser results when there is no fresnel zone clearance.

Avoid trees inside the fresnel zone. You can't beat the laws of physics.

Either move the pole elsewhere or cut the trees.
