Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I just bought a new T1600G-52PS switch to replace an older HP V1910-24 switch as I added more ports and extended out my network.

I can't access the GUI. I tried the default 192.168.0.1 in several browsers on several computers at several locations on the network (different ports) and all are unable to reach it. I can't ping that address.

I'm not a network guy, so please excuse any stupidity in my questions. I'm just trying to get this to work. I had no problems configuring and running my last switch.

My router is at 192.168.1.1 and the rest of my network is at 192.168.1.XXX. Is this a subnet issue? Am I on the wrong subnet? I wanted to access the GUI and change the switches default IP address to 192.168.1.2, but I can't get there. I guess I can use the CLI, but how can I access the GUI in this case?

Thanks,

Yes.

Set your PC/laptop to static IP 192.168.0.10 and try again. Load the web UI, log in and change the switch's IP to 192.168.1.2, apply settings and remember to save the config. Note that after applying the new IP you will lose contact with the web UI. Just revert IP settings on your PC/laptop and load the switch's web UI again using the new IP 192.168.1.2 to save the config (this is important to make the change persistent).
