Dear community,

I have my network switch TL-SG105E linked to my router through a Powerline TL-PA8015P.

I would like to assign static IP addresses to my devices plugged in the network switch.

What is the best way to do it ?

Do I need to assign a static IP address to the switch first (from the web gui) and then assign static IP addresses to my devices from my router's gui ?

Is it a good idea to assign a static IP address to my switch ?

@emmto

Hey, the router works as DHCP, you can login to router's page and set up DHCP Address Reservation for the switch and other clients.

Also you can set up static IP address for the switch, and then use Address Reservation for other devices that cannot set up IP manually.
